Africa

It is unwise to paint in broad strokes when describing an entire region's coffees.  For guidance in choosing your coffee, though, we'll give you some idea of what to expect.

Generally speaking, African coffees will be bright, with sparkling acidity.  They will often carry intriguing fruit flavors.  Sometimes these take the form of lively citrus notes; other times, heavier berries.  Some of the most unique and interesting coffees hail from the African continent.  Try brewing them double strength and pouring them over ice!

Ethiopian Yirgacheffe

$14.00
A unique and intriguing brew, this washed Yirgacheffe represents a slightly muted & more delicate coffee than its natural processed Ethiopian counterparts (see Sidamo). Look for cinnamon, subdued lime, & hints of syrupy fruit in the cup.

Kenya Wamuguma

The Kenya Wamuguma begins with the classic Kenyan grapefruity brightness. It is nicely subdued, though, by a surprisingly substantive body, great dark chocolate notes, and rich dried fruit finish.
