South East Asia
It is unwise to paint in broad strokes when describing an entire region's coffees. For guidance in choosing your coffee, though, we'll give you some idea of what to expect.
The coffees of this region are as diverse as the inhabitants themselves. Thus, meta-descriptions are limited. Generally, though, you'll find spice and nice heavy body. Indonesian coffees tend to light up the back of your palate more than the front. They carry hints of earth, spices, and chocolate. By their nature the coffees of Indonesia are less predictable and wilder than their counterparts. Pair them with a rich dessert, and embrace the compliments.
