Coffee isn’t just the best part of waking up, it’s also a bond tying families together across centuries and countries. Often, in the coffee business, family legacy and quality go hand-in-hand. Enter Arturo Vielmann. Spanning nearly 300 mountainous acres east of Hoja Blanco Village, you will find the Vielmann family farm, ‘Finca Los Angeles’. Arturo’s farm is now managed by his son, Vielmann Vides Villatoro Castillo. The family farm produces a range of expressive varietals including bourbon, caturra, and catuai grown at elevations upwards of 1600 MASL. These mile high altitudes paired with the family’s legacy of diligence produces complex, dense flavors that translate directly into every cup. This particular lot is a wonderful representation of the one of a kind terroir found in Huehuetenango.
