When our team gathered around the cupping table, this coffee stopped us in our tracks. We couldn’t get enough of the jammy papaya sweetness, the richness of cooked red grape, and the indulgent notes of dark chocolate. Its syrupy body and juicy acidity made this a standout moment for all of us

In the highlands of Huehuetenango, Guatemala, Finca Los Dos Socios is owned and managed by Concepción Villatoro Matías, who has been cultivating coffee here since 1990. Spanning 150 acres, the farm is home to Caturra, Pache, and Pacamara varieties, grown with care alongside his team of five.

Concepción is dedicated to excellence and innovation, with plans to expand the farm, plant new coffee varieties, and focus on microlots that showcase the unique terroir of this region.

Utopian was founded more than a decade ago by two cousins: one a craft coffee aficionado and the other, a backpacking vagabond who fell in love with coffee-producing countries, cultures, and people.
