This one had us leaning in for another sip. Soft chamomile and violet florals take the lead, giving way to a subtle cedar warmth that rounds out the cup. The finish? Smooth, sweet, and lingering with cane sugar. An easy favorite.

In the remote northern mountains of Laos, coffee farming is steadily gaining recognition. Xam Tai, known for its rich biodiversity and traditional agricultural practices, is home to farmers dedicated to cultivating high-quality coffee under shade and using organic techniques. This approach not only preserves the surrounding environment but also enhances the complexity of the cup.

The result? A coffee that reflects both place and process—delicate florals, structured sweetness, and a distinct sense of craftsmanship. As Laos’ specialty coffee scene continues to grow, coffees like this highlight the region’s potential and the dedication of the farmers bringing them to life.

Utopian was founded more than a decade ago by two cousins: one a craft coffee aficionado and the other, a backpacking vagabond who fell in love with coffee-producing countries, cultures, and people.
