While we have not met Juan Carlos in person, his coffee has consistently impressed us with its clarity and complexity. Each lot in this set tells a story of craftsmanship, tradition, and resilience. Whether you are exploring these origins for the first time or already love Mexican coffees, this trio offers an intimate look at the flavors and people that inspire us.

Producer Info

This collection brings together three outstanding producers from Mexico: Juan Carlos, Alva Flores, and Olegario Herrera Carrada. Each producer grows their coffee in high-altitude, biodiverse environments, using traditional methods that highlight the unique terroir of their regions. Through careful cultivation and meticulous processing, they produce coffees with exceptional depth and complexity.

Utopian was founded more than a decade ago by two cousins: one a craft coffee aficionado and the other, a backpacking vagabond who fell in love with coffee-producing countries, cultures, and people.
